This photograph shows an aerial view of the CBD (Central Business District) area taken from the Peninsula Plaza. The OCBC Centre towers over the surrounding shophouses and bumboats which are lined along the sides of the Singapore River. Other landmarks which dot the Singapore skyline include the Hong Leong Finance Building, the DBS Tower and the UOB Plaza. The dome-shaped tower of the Old Supreme Court Building can be seen in the foreground.

Now known as the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, the landmark has performed a wide range of functions from political meetings to stage performances since it was constructed in 1862.
